THREE DAY COURSE ON DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF SOLAR POWER PLANT

                                                              

Solar Photovoltaic (PV) technology is future of electricity generation. Our nation is set to install 100000 MW solar (PV) power plants. World over, large solar power plants with big investments are coming up with great potential of generating large number of employment opportunities.

This short course is designed to EDUCATE & TRAIN students, engineers and professionals in designing, installing, commissioning, monitoring and managing Solar PV Power Plants. In short period of 3 days, theory and practical contents are covered.

 

LECTURE SCHEDULED:

Day 1

10:11 AM        Introduction to solar cell and module technology.

11:12 PM        Introduction to PVSyst design software and relevance of different loss                                                     mechanism. 

12:01PM         Solar system components and its integration into solar power plants.

 

WORKING LUNCH 1:2 PM

02:05 PM        Hands on training of installation and commissioning of an actual solar power plant.

Day 2

10:11 AM        Solar power plant energy generation assessment, measurement equipment, data                                 acquisition and monitoring protocols.                          

11:12 PM        Tutorial on using PVSyst software for design of grid interfaced solar power plant.

12:01 PM        Introduction to different Standards (IEC, UL, Indian standards) of solar Cells,                                           modules, inverters and structure and other BOS components .       

WORKING LUNCH 1:2 PM

02:05 PM         Hands on training on PVSyst software in designing a grid interfaced solar power plant.

Day 3  

 

10:11 AM        Introduction to Inverters and converters, charge controllers and its applications.

 

11:12 AM        Tutorial on using PVSyst software for design of solar irrigation pumps.

12:01 PM        Solar power plant engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) & Centre and

                         state policy, subsidies, pay back period and financial management of solar plants.

WORKING LUNCH 1:2 PM

02:05 PM        Hands on training on PVSyst software in designing an off grid solar power plant.
